Paints were opened, stirred and then applied…baby steps…
November 4, 2014
Just working on some Eastern Front peasants’ houses and continuing on with some Panthers. I’ll put the Panthers away as I achieved what I needed to with them today (correct sizing and detailing of thier cammo pattern), so I’ll just keep working with the houses until they are completed and the Panthers can be taken up later.
Baby steps.
Glad you’re back!
Not quite yet, but trying to make an effort.
On the way back to being back, then. š
Awesome! How did you get that realistic thatch color?
Three different colours, with lots of drybrushing, plus plenty of practice. I’ll let you know what the actual Citadel colours are that I use. And thanks for the compliment!
A heavy drybrush of Scorched Brown; then a drybrush of Kommando Khaki; then drybrush and splotching with Desert Yellow: a final drybrush of Kommando Khaki.
That is awesome. Do you build to scale on buildings? Im attempting to build terrain for a stalingrad city fight. I currently have aprox 28 bases for dwellings or multi story complex. I have never attempted such a project before. Considering the ruins of stalingrad i felt if it didnt turn out i would just put it on the floor, light it, and stomp it out and that should be about accurate.
But, do you scale your terrain?
All my stuff is to scale, to 1:72 (with some at 1:76 when I couldn’t get 1:72).
